What this is

RSpill is a wedding planning tool. It is early software, offered free while it is in alpha. Using it means accepting these terms and the privacy policy.

Your account

You need a working email address, and you need to be at least 18. Keep access to that inbox — anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, because sign-in is by emailed link. Tell us if you think someone else has got in.

You can invite other people to your wedding and decide what they can see. Anything they do counts as done on your plan.

Your guest list is your responsibility

This is the part worth reading properly. When you add guests, you are deciding what to record about other people, and you are responsible for that decision. By adding them you confirm that you are entitled to hold their details, and that you will tell them how their information is being used if they ask.

Be careful with sensitive notes. Dietary requirements and access needs are often necessary for a caterer or venue, and the tool stores them for that reason — but they can reveal health conditions or beliefs, so only record what you actually need.

We act on your instructions in respect of guest information. If a guest asks us to remove their details, we will normally point them to you first, and we may pass their request on.

What you put in

Your content stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service for you — which includes showing your wedding website to anyone you publish it to, and emailing invitations to addresses you provide.

Do not upload anything you do not have the rights to, anything unlawful, or anything designed to attack the service or other users. Do not use the invitation or RSVP features to send bulk unsolicited email.

Availability, and what happens if it breaks

There is no uptime guarantee. This is alpha software on a single server, maintained by a small operation. We take encrypted backups and we test restoring them, but we cannot promise you will never lose anything.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. You can export your guest list and RSVP responses as a spreadsheet whenever you like, and we would genuinely encourage you to do that before the wedding rather than after.

Free now, and what happens later

It is free while in alpha. If paid plans arrive, we will give notice first, and what you have already created will stay accessible and exportable. We will not hold your guest list hostage behind a new paywall.

Ending it

You can stop using it at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms or to harm other people, and we will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.

Liability

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you have paid us in the last twelve months or one hundred dollars.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States, and disputes go to the courts there. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you may still have rights under your local law that this does not remove.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the date. If a change materially affects you, we will say so rather than relying on you noticing.
