Box trapmembers

“If a creature goes inside, the box should then slam shut.”

About this item

A box trap is a type of trap used in the Hunter skill to catch ferrets, embertailed jerboas and chinchompas. Using a box trap requires the specific Hunter level needed for the prey, as well as partial completion of the Eagles' Peak quest. Whenever prey passes a trap, it has a chance of either being caught in the trap or evading it. If the prey is successfully caught, the box trap will close in around the animal and start shaking, at which point the player will have the option to "check" the trap for loot and experience.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary.
