Iron platebody

“Provides excellent protection.”

About this item

The iron platebody is an armour used in melee with stat bonuses between bronze and steel. It has no Defence requirement to equip, which makes it the best platebody for players just starting out. It also provides greater protection than an iron chainbody. Like all platebodies, however, it gives a crippling negative bonus to the user's Ranged and Magic stats.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary. Worth noting here: this item typically moves 5.84% in a day, which is more than the -3.64% you would be capturing — so holding it overnight risks more than the flip makes.
