Rune axe

“A powerful axe.”

About this item

The rune axe is in the third-best tier of Woodcutting axes available to members and is the best tier axe available to free-to-play players. It is outclassed by the crystal axe, infernal axe, 3rd Age axe, and dragon axe, and is equivalent to the gilded axe (which is also available in free-to-play). Level 41 Woodcutting is required to use this axe. Like any Woodcutting axe, its primary use is as a tool to cut trees in order to obtain logs and gain experience in the Woodcutting skill.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary. Worth noting here: this item typically moves 0.57% in a day, which is more than the 0.17% you would be capturing — so holding it overnight risks more than the flip makes.
