Steel nails are nails made with a steel bar on an anvil with a hammer in the player's inventory, requiring 34 Smithing, yielding 15 steel nails and granting 37.5 Smithing experience per bar. These nails are the only nails that can be made in free-to-play because they are required in the Dragon Slayer I quest. Steel nails are tradeable and the sawmill operator will sell them to members for 3 coins each. Members can use steel nails to construct certain types of wooden furniture.
