An uncut red topaz is a semi-precious gem used in Crafting. It can be cut with a chisel at level 16 Crafting to make a red topaz, granting 25 experience. There is a chance to unsuccessfully cut the red topaz, resulting in a crushed gem and 6.3 experience. Uncut red topaz is found mostly with the Mining skill, only by mining gem rocks which are located in Shilo Village after a player has completed the Shilo Village quest, in the Lunar Isle mine after Lunar Diplomacy, or on The Onyx Crest after 47 Sailing, or by mining the shell of the Gemstone Crab.
