“A spring-loaded mechanism.”

About this item

Ballista springs are a component in making heavy or light ballistae. It is dropped by demonic gorillas and tortured gorillas in the Crash Site Cavern. Ballista springs can be attached to an incomplete light or heavy ballista to create an unstrung light or heavy ballista, respectively. Attaching a light one requires level 47 Fletching, granting 15 experience.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary.
