The black beret is a hat that can be obtained from Easy Treasure Trails. They provide no stat bonuses and are worn purely for cosmetic purposes. There's other variants: the white beret, blue beret and red beret. Black berets can be attached to a mime mask to make a beret mask by talking to Patchy on Mos Le'Harmless, along with 500 coins.
