About this item

Kovac's grog is a type of ale that restores 1 Hitpoint and temporarily boosts Smithing by 4 while draining Attack, Ranged, and Magic by 2. This provides the second highest Smithing boost available, surpassing the mature dwarven stout's 2-level boost. Furthermore, this is a reliable boost, unlike orange spicy stew which may boost or drain the player by up to 5 levels when 3 dashes of orange spice are added. It can be purchased from the Giants' Foundry reward shop for 300 Foundry Reputation.

Its high alch value of 3 does not cover the 155 nature rune it would burn, so alching is a loss before the item itself is counted.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary.
