About this item
The steel ring is an item dropped by the deranged archaeologist. It has no requirements to equip and is the best-in-slot melee defensive ring, surpassing the ring of suffering (i). However, it has no Magic defence, Ranged defence, or Prayer bonuses. It may be a more useful option for players who cannot afford a ring of suffering, or require better melee tanking equipment for encounters where they won't be attacked with other styles like the Moons of Peril.
