About this item

Raw marlin is a type of fish caught from marlin shoals whilst deep sea trawling, requiring level 91 Fishing and granting 265.5 experience per successful catch with a trawling net, or 53.1 if caught with a fishing rod. They can also be caught occasionally from glistening and vibrant shoals, which require level 76 and 86 Fishing to catch from respectively. Cooking marlin requires level 91 in Cooking, resulting in a marlin and 225 Cooking experience. If unsuccessful, it will result in a burnt marlin instead.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary.
