“Small shiny scales.”

About this item

Marlin scales is a Herblore secondary used to make extended stamina potions, requiring one scale per dose. It can be obtained by using a knife on a raw marlin from deep sea trawling, yielding three scales per marlin upon success, whose chance scales with the player's Cooking level. If cutting on a chum facility, players will receive scales equal to three times the number of marlin cut on that tick, assuming a successful cut. For example, a chum spreader can cut 4 marlins per tick, yielding a potential 12 marlin scales per tick.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary.
