Herring

“Some nicely cooked herring.”

About this item

Herring is a type of fish that restores 5 Hitpoints when eaten. It can be obtained by cooking raw herring on a fire or cooking range, requiring level 5 Cooking and granting 50 experience when successful. When cooking there is a chance to fail, resulting in a burnt herring. The burn rate decreases as the player's Cooking level increases.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary. Worth noting here: this item typically moves 8.71% in a day, which is more than the 7.14% you would be capturing — so holding it overnight risks more than the flip makes.
