Fire rune

“One of the 4 basic elemental Runes.”

About this item

Fire runes are one of the four elemental runes. They are used to cast fire-based combat spells in the standard spellbook, as well as casting many spells from other spellbooks. Some notable use cases for fire runes include casting alchemy spells to convert items into coins, charging a trident of the seas or trident of the swamp, and resurrecting high level thralls. Several items throughout the game, such as the staff of fire, provide infinite fire runes while equipped.

Its high alch value of 2 does not cover the 154 nature rune it would burn, so alching is a loss before the item itself is counted.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary.
