Tinderbox
“Useful for lighting a fire.”
About this item
The tinderbox is used primarily for lighting fires by clicking 'use' on the tinderbox, then clicking a log. A tinderbox can be bought in most general stores. It is also used to light and relight candles and lanterns, so any player venturing into a dark area such as the Lumbridge Caves should bring one in case their light source goes out. When used on logs that the player has the Firemaking level to light, the messages You attempt to light the logs. and The fire catches and the logs begin to burn. are displayed.

Measured with medians rather than averages, because one spike — an update, a streamer, a brief squeeze — drags an average around for weeks afterwards and makes everything since look ordinary. Worth noting here: this item typically moves 12.13% in a day, which is more than the 8.42% you would be capturing — so holding it overnight risks more than the flip makes.
